Ride Recap: SFBP #10 Under the Big Top

SFBP – October 2011 Under The Big Top recap

Did you miss this last ride? That’s okay, we still <3 you! Come check out our next ride on November 4th @ 7:30pm.

Oh snap! Only one word can fully encompass October’s ride: EPIC!!! Although we tried, pictures can’t even capture how amazing everyone was. We had about 200-300 amazingly costumed folks show up at China Basin Park. Luckily the weather held out and it was a balmy San Francisco night.

The first leg of our merry ride brought us around the industrial and hip Dogpatch before heading over to Mission Creek. All the warehouses and industrial spaces out that end of the city were amazing in the dark, with folks cheering us on from balconies.  What else do you do when you see the circus riding down your street? Along the ride we saw a BUNCH of folks dressed up. Apparently we all are children at heart and wanted to run away to the circus!

The first party stop was nestled between buildings at South Park. Although there were several flats, riders were able to catch up and regroup while we rocked out to those music bikes. We then rode out through the clubs of Broadway where there were a few jealous looks. Down to Embarcadero where we met up with the deserted yet beautiful financial district at night.

Our second party stop was right on the Embarcadero. There was even a clown dance off!

Folks were having a good time dancing the night away, while low riders and hotrods drove past!

On our last leg, our juggling, fire-breathing, whip-snapping riders rolled through downtown to our last stop at Showplace Triangle. At this last stop, riders were able to learn how to juggle and ride unicycles. This was such an amazing night and SFBP wants to thank all the folks who made it happen. We couldn’t do it without you!

And if you missed October’s bike party, don’t fret! Our next bike party is November 4th @ 7:30pm and you can come check us out then!
