Missed our last ride? Well check out our recap. Or better yet JOIN US at our October 7th ride at 7:30 pm at the China Basin Park (opposite the 3rd street bridge from the ball park). Under The Big Top — Circus is our theme!
Although our theme was Ghost Town, our riders were more than alive! On a darker and a bit colder than normal night, we had about 200 riders come out to our Civic Center start. With City Hall looking over us, we had a great rolling start to what would turn out to be an amazing ride.
And to our surprise, our brothers and sisters over at Santa Cruz Bike Party made an appearance!
Our route took us through Civic Center and then up into Japan Town.
Our first party stop was at Alta Plaza Park where the views of the fog covered city were breathtaking.
Folks danced while our wonderful speaker bike folks rocked out.
And in keeping with the spirit of Burning Man, many an inner child came out to play that night.
After we reluctantly left the lofty Alta Park party stop, we rode past the gigantic homes of Pacific Heights into the fog of the Presidio.
Then through the trees and towards the water, we made our way to the famous Wave Organ. Words can’t describe how epic this party stop was. People danced, people laughed, people had bike repairs, people had a great time.
And our third leg of the night brought us through the Marina, out and then around to the Embarcadero, where we met up with the clearer weather and partied under cupid’s span.
Where (not surprisingly) there was a pretty serious dance off.
Fun times were had all around. A great big THANK YOU to all our riders and volunteers who make Bike Party possible. We hope to see you at our October 7th ride at 7:30 pm at the China Basin Park.
